    Llinos’ Favourites

    Wine Type: Mixed Case

    £89.00 Per Item

The Wild Sauvignon from Greywacke is the ‘treat yourself’ wine in my box. This has a bit of oak which softens the sometimes quite astringent sauvignon grape. The complexity of flavour is stunning. The other that may be surprising is a soft, sweet sparkler from one of our favourite producers in Die. A delightful match for meringues in an afternoon tea, at 7.5% alcohol you can almost drink it all yourself!
A nice crisp and dry rose from Languedoc is one I would really like people to try – with food or on its own. The Valpolicella is a long-standing favourite of mine, it’s not a lightweight wine as you may expect. Lastly, a Pinot Noir from South Africa with red fruit and a touch of earthiness I really enjoy with my Sunday lunch! Let me know what you think!

    This case includes:

Jean-Claude Raspail – Clairette de Die: A light, off dry sparkling with notes of white flowers and stone fruits. Balancing acidity to sweetness.

Greywacke – Wild Sauvignon Blanc: Palate is full with flavours of citrus and stone fruit, crisp acidity and notes of flint on the long, dry finish.

St Cels – Sous les Pins: A dry and light rose with notes of citrus and wild strawberry. Herbacous on the finish.

Chateau Lamothe Vincent – Intense Red: Spice and blackberries on the nose. A full palate of red and dark fruits with hints of liquorice and vanilla and velvety tannins.

Provolo – Valpolicella:  Sweet red cherries and herbs on the nose followed through to the palate with a touch of spice, good acidity and light tannin.

Newton Johnson – Felicite Pinot Noir: Ripe cherries, with notes of blueberry and spice followed by fine silky tannins.
