Chateau De La Cour, Saint Émillion Grand Cru AC, 2019 – A delicious Merlot dominated red from the right-bank of Bordeaux. Full-bodied and smooth with notes of dark plums, cherries and oak.

Domaine Font Sarade, Le Blanc, Viognier – An underrated grape variety that ticks all the boxes for me: aromatic, floral, medium-bodied and smooth white from the Rhone Valley.

Villiera, Cap Classique Sparkling – Sparkling wine made in the same way as Champagne from South Africa. Notes of brioche, apple with great freshness and a long finish.

Provolo, Gino Valpolicella Superiore – One of my favourite Italian reds we stock in the shop. Super smooth with notes of fig, chocolate and black cherries. A great wine to enjoy on its own.

Solara, Orange Natural Wine – Something a bit different….a blend of white grapes kept in contact with the skins produce a darker coloured wine that we call orange/amber wine. Candied apricots and peach on the nose with good freshness and a hint of tannin on the finish.

Cave du Chateau des Loges, Beaujolais Villages AC Cuvee Tradition – Light, fruity and low in tannin. Notes of strawberries and cherries. Put this wine in the fridge 30mins before serving for an even more refreshing drink!

Chateau Lamothe-Vincent Heritage Bordeaux Blanc

One of the estate’s Grand vins from a 5-acre plot. 55% Sauvignon Gris/ 45% Sauvignon blanc aged 5 months on lees in French oak barrels and concrete vat. Aromas of pear, pineapple, almond, smoke, mineral – almost salty flavours. Ripe and concentrated with good acidity/finish. Ageing potential of 8 years.

Chateau Patache d’Aux Medoc, 2012

This Left Bank Bordeaux red is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot grapes. Red and black currant fruits, hints of tobacco and cedar with an earthy touch, like a classic style of Medoc. Subtle acidity.

Blackcurrant, creme de cassis, cedar, spice and undergrowth. Elegant with opulence, silky tannins with a long finish. 90 – 92 points by Robert Parker.

60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot.

Pizzorno, Select Blend, Reserva

A delicious blend of Malbec, Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety follows its own vinification in concrete vats and then its aged in French oak for 12 months. The final blend is aged for a further 6 months in French oak.

A big full red with flavours of black fruit with cedar and spice. A smooth finish of velvety tannins.
