Led by Luis and Luisa Lourença. It’s situated in the heart of the Dão wine region of Portugal which is found in the country’s interior about mid way between Lisbon and Oporto. Here they make a wide array of meticulously assembled wines, where both traditional blending, and varietal offerings both excel. The Touriga Nacional here is often cited as Portugal’s finest, while their Encruzado is regularly rated as one of the country’s leading dry white wines. Their wines they make are respectful of tradition, but make use of modern equipment and facilities to ensure that quality levels are always maintained. As a result Quinta dos Roques’ wines are familiar sights at award ceremonies both at home and abroad.
