Mittelburgenland is in the south east of Austria, close to the Hungarian border, famous for the red grape Blaufränkisch. The three ranges of hills that surround the district to the north, west and south as well as the proximity of Lake Neusiedl, Europe’s largest steppe lake, have created a special wind-protected and heat-storing micro-climate. Temperature-controlled fermentation and state-of-the-art technology are the key elements to obtaining rich and succulent wines. Fruity whites are aged in stainless steel tanks for several months; reds are matured in a variety of oak barrels.
