Vincent Ogereau is one of the outstanding producers from this dynamic region of the Loire Valley, with a domaine of some 25 hectares. Originally established by his grand-father in the 1890s Vincent took over from his father in 1989 and has now been joined by his son Emmanuel. . For white wines Chenin Blanc is king here, matching perfectly with the clay-schist soils of the region, with Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon being used for the reds and rosé. The viticulture is heading to being organic and only natural yeasts are used for the fermentations.

An interesting cabernet with floral and graphite notes.
Description
Fortunate to have old Cabernet vines planted by Francis, Vincent’s father and Emmanuel’s grandfather. We are therefore here on old Cabernet Franc vines, some of which were planted in the fifties. A red wine full of vigor and freshness expressing the flowery and graphite character of Cabernet Franc on a terroir of schist.
