This grape is a speciality in Austria from a specific slope that produces an elegant but powerful wine. Fresh zesty grapefruit with a hint of white pepper and lentils, dry and fine food wine.
Johann Topf, Gruner Veltliner, Wechselberg
£20.20 Per Bottle
This winery dates back to 1751 and has been family-owned ever since. The present Johann Topf took over the family winery from his father in 1990, who was one of the first winemakers in Strass to bottle his own wines. The estate has now grown to cover nearly 50 hectares around the village, luckily, his four sons are as passionate about the business and all work in the winery. The vineyards are in the Kamptal region just north of the Danube in Eastern Austria. The slopes have been specially selected for the different grape varieties.
