Description
I have chosen wines that accommodate my palate and interests..full on flavour with some appealing characteristics. An energetic Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley full of notes of lemon,
white flowers is my first choice, followed by a skin-contact Gavi from Piedmonte fermented in amphorae pots: slightly cloudy in appearance with aromas of lemon tart and apricots, very good acidity and great with cheese!
Viognier is definitely an underrated grape and this next wine does not disappoint. Aromas of peach, honeysuckle with a super fresh palate and good length. As it’s summer it would be rude not to add a rose: summer fruits on the nose, slightly creamy on the palate with a round finish, a very easy-drinking Hungarian wine.
Our imported Chianti Classico Riserva is smooth with notes of sour cherries, raspberries and spice from oak ageing (a wine I happily drank on my dad’s birthday). Finishing lastly with a classic Rioja Crianza full of ripe fruits and vanilla flavours. Perfect!
