Pecorino is one of two white grapes cultivated in Madonnabruno farm. It is characterized by a fast maturation of the bunches and a little production.. It’s always vinified alone and it’s considered a real excellence among all the autochthonal Italian vines. The vineyard is located on the South-East of the farm, covers an area of 2 hectares with an altitude of 60 meters over the sea level. The training technique is the Guyot, the vineyard is North oriented, in such a way that grapes won’t overmature. So at the harvest time, will have an ideal acidity and sugar level for a white wine with an explosive freshness and a nice structure: the Maree wine.
